Ms. Piccini de Velazquez is an attorney-at-law licensed in all state and federal courts of New Jersey since 2005.  She is a legal professional with more than fifteen years of experience working in law firms, corporations and non-profit organizations.  Ms. Piccini de Velazquez is an alumna of Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts and Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, New Jersey. In 2006, the New York based insurance company of Mutual Marine Office hired Ms. Piccini de Velazquez as in-house Counsel in the Professional Liability Claims Department.  During law school, she served as a Legal Intern to the Honorable Renee Jones Weeks in the New Jersey Superior Court, Essex Vicinage.  Simultaneously, Ms. Piccini de Velazquez worked as a Law Clerk at the law firm of Scarinci & Hollenbeck in Lyndhurst, New Jersey.  She was named Public Interest Fellow at Seton Hall Law School and worked in the Criminal Appeals Bureau of the Legal Aid Society of New York City.

In addition to her legal expertise, Ms. Piccini de Velazquez is a Motivational Speaker.  Prior public speaking engagements include:   John Jay College of Criminal Justice and Seton Hall Law School.  She can address large groups on topics such as:   diversity in higher education, special issues affecting women in the legal profession and decoding professional liability insurance for licensed professionals.

Ms. Piccini de Velazquez specializes in the areas of:  family law, real estate law, immigration law, collections, municipal law, bankruptcy, as well as trusts and estates.  She is also an accomplished Mediator.  Ms. Piccini de Velazquez successfully mediated dozens of cases on behalf of insureds of Mutual Marine Office.  She lived overseas in the Dominican Republic and Curacao, Netherlands Antilles.  Ms. Piccini de Velazquez is a native Spanish speaker.  She is also fluent in Papiamentu.  Additionally, Ms. Piccini de Velazquez possesses working knowledge of Portuguese, French and Italian.
